Independence

Hyzer & Chain earns money through affiliate commission when readers buy through links here. That is the entire business model, and it creates an obvious pressure, so the following are hard rules rather than aspirations:

• No brand has any input into what appears here. No manufacturer or retailer sees a page before publication, suggests products, or can request a change after it.
• No sponsored content and no paid placement. There is no price at which a product can buy a position on a page. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed in large type at the top of the page it applies to, and it has not changed.
• Commission rates play no part in ordering. Picks are ordered by fit to the reader described at the top of the page. Where a cheaper product is the better answer, it goes first.
• We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage. We do not receive review units at all, which is a side effect of not running a testing program.

What we will not publish

• Testing claims. We do not test equipment, so nothing here will ever say we did. No “in our testing”, no “field-tested”, no “we threw this”. See the methodology page.
• Invented credentials. No PDGA rating, tournament result, professional status or sponsorship will be claimed for the author, because none exists.
• Fabricated social proof. No star ratings, review counts, testimonials or “trusted by thousands” claims. There are none to report, and inventing them is fraud.
• Unverifiable prices. A price appears on this site only when it comes from live retailer data and is shown with the date it was checked. Otherwise the page says to check the price, which is currently the case everywhere.
• Specs we cannot source. If a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the figure is absent rather than estimated.
• Artificial urgency. No countdowns, no “selling fast”, no deal language. We have no price data and would not use it that way if we did.

Update cadence

Every page carries a visible publication date and, where it has been revised, a visible update date. Those dates are real: they change when the content changes, and they are not bumped automatically on deploy to look fresh.

Pages are reviewed when any of the following happens:

• A manufacturer re-rates a mold or changes a published spec.
• A recommended product goes out of production or out of stock persistently.
• A reader reports an error.
• At minimum, annually — every roundup is reviewed at least once a year, including the year reference in its title.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, please tell us. The fastest route is contact@hyzerandchain.com or the contact form. A source makes it quicker to act on, but it is not required — pointing at the problem is enough.

How corrections are handled:

• Factual errors (a wrong flight number, a discontinued product, a broken link) are fixed as soon as they are confirmed, and the page’s update date changes.
• Substantive changes to a recommendation — a pick being removed or reordered — are made with a note in the page text explaining what changed and why.
• Disagreements about judgment rather than fact are taken seriously but will not always produce a change. Where there is a genuine trade-off we will usually add the other side rather than swap positions.

AI and automation

Pages on this site are written by Selena H.. We do not publish bulk-generated articles, and we do not generate product recommendations from a model’s recall — every spec here was read from a manufacturer page and linked to it, which is precisely the failure mode generated content falls into.

Links

Commercial links to retailers are affiliate links and carry rel="sponsored nofollow". Links to manufacturer spec pages, governing-body rules and other sources are ordinary editorial links and earn us nothing — they are there so you can check the claim.

Hyzer & Chain is published by Selena Hann as part of Juniper Reviews. Editorial responsibility for every page rests with Selena H..
