How this site makes money
The short version: affiliate commission from retailers, at no extra cost to you, with no brand input into what we recommend.
The short version
Hyzer & Chain is reader-funded through affiliate links. When you click a link here and buy something, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. It costs you nothing extra — you pay the same price you would have paid going there directly.
That is the entire business model. There is no sponsored content, no paid placement, and no brand has any say in what appears on these pages.
Amazon Associates
Hyzer & Chain is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon is currently the only retailer we earn from. If that changes, the new retailers will be named here before any link to them is published.
How to tell which links are which
Commercial links — buy buttons, “check price” links and product CTAs — are affiliate links. They open in a new tab, they carry rel="sponsored nofollow", and the pages they sit on carry a visible disclosure near the top as well as this page in the footer.
Links to manufacturer spec pages, governing-body rules and other sources are ordinary editorial links and earn us nothing. They exist so you can check a claim we have made.
What the commission does not buy
- It does not decide the ordering. Picks are ordered by how well they fit the reader the page is written for. Where the better answer is a cheaper product, that is the answer.
- It does not decide what gets covered. No brand or retailer suggests products, sees pages before publication, or can request changes afterward.
- It does not buy a positive write-up. Every product on this site has a “look elsewhere if” line stating who it is wrong for, including the ones we recommend most strongly.
About prices
We do not quote prices we cannot verify. Where we have a live price from the retailer’s own data we show it with the date it was checked. Where we do not, the button says to check the price on Amazon rather than naming a number that may be months out of date. At present that is the case for every product on this site.
Prices and availability shown on Amazon are set by Amazon and change without notice. Whatever you see there at the moment of purchase is the authoritative figure.
